Accessibility
We aim for level AA of the international web accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.2) for the site, the printable versions and the PDFs.
What we have put in place
- Full keyboard navigation, with a visible focus indicator and a link to skip straight to the content.
- Colour contrasts checked, in light mode as well as in dark mode.
- Reading settings on every article: text size, line spacing and an extra-legible font (Atkinson Hyperlegible).
- Headings, lists and forms structured for screen readers; every field has a label and its own error messages.
- The sources shown in the margin are also available in a numbered list at the end of the page, readable by screen readers.
- Pages can be read without JavaScript, and the printable versions are designed for A4 paper.
- The PDFs are generated with structure tags and a table of contents.
Known limitations
- The site is under construction. No full audit by an expert has been carried out yet; one is planned before launch.
- The structure of the generated PDFs has not yet been checked with a PDF/UA validation tool.
- Once it opens, downloading purchased guides will require JavaScript to protect the download link.
Report a problem to us
If any content is inaccessible to you, write to us, stating the page and how you access it (screen reader, zoom, keyboard…). We will offer you an alternative, for example the text in another format.
